Channel New Weapons, today we will consider the 3VD35 ammunition adopted by the Russian Army to protect armored vehicles from high-precision weapons with laser, optical and thermal guidance systems. The ammunition does this with an aerosol interference screen. Heavy armor protects combat vehicles from various types of small arms, but some types of weapons, such as rockets with cumulative warheads, still pose a serious threat to them. Therefore, armored vehicles are equipped with active protection systems that can disable missile guidance systems or even destroy ammunition on the way. Ammunition 3VD35 has a length of 290 millimeters and weighs 1.8 kilograms.
